Weekend Fun Recap – May 3-5

I got to have some special fun this weekend thanks to a sweet mom who has a daughter in my 8-year-old’s grade. She hosted a beautiful tea party for the moms and daughters, and it was such a treat! I enjoyed getting to know some of the moms better, watching my daughter jump on a trampoline with her buddies, and having an excuse to dress up a little!

My Enneagram One heart was extra happy that the host had recruited her mom to give an etiquette lesson to these sweet girls. Teaching manners is an ongoing battle in our home, and I love that they got to learn a little bit more in the context of such a special event. I can’t help myself—I love a rule! But too often I let the rules take precedence over the fun.
